Symeon was a Knight under Bohemond of Taranto who answered the call to the first crusade in 1096. He battled with the crusaders until the siege and capture of Jerusalem in 1099. He joined with the Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem after the capture of the city. He stayed in Jerusalem until 1125 when he was sent to Tridentine to help defend pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem.
He maintains his devotion to God and is known to grant pilgrims shelter on their journey to the Holy land.
