I flew. Although had assumed he would fly as well. I assume being reeve brings with it no shortage of tasks, he must have gotten hung up along the way.

Raetus continues to walk and talk.
"Once Gunnar has arrives we can disembark towards the northern portions of Klagenfurt. Locals should I assume be able to direct us to the area in which Samuel was attacked. From there we will use dogs, trackers, and my own ability to summon animals from the local fauna to obtain information as to the wolf packs migration. Such a horde will likely leave a lot of tracks in the form of prints and scat and most likely will require a lot of feeding and therefore leave carcasses. Flight will allow the us to spot the packs movements from above the treetops in either the form of you and Gunnar in changed form or the winged eyes that I will summon to the task. Once within striking distance we can then set out bait (Raetus gestures towards the goats and the wagons filled with evil looking mantraps, nets and sharpened bundles of poles). Once this ploy has been exhausted my guess is then we will become the hunted as the pack will turn upon us but hopefully by then they will be sufficiently weakened and we will be able to destroy them and there master."

Oooo sounds like fun. Gunnar better hurry up, I'm itching to hunt some wolf. The bait and wait could get boring though. Do you think the majority of this pack is made of regular wolves or something more? I do have a wolf shape that we might be able tof make use of, but likely won't work if they are more than regular wolves.

From the shadows appears Gunnar. Having flown with Fia but trailing behind to survey the area briefly.
He lands and approaches the encampment, returning to his human form completely. He strides into camp and offers a nod to Galahad Men. Looking around for Raetus he easily spots the man and approaches. "I have arrived. Tomorrow, we hunt. Let us plan our troops and see what is the best action to take."

"Ah Gunnar you've finally made it I was beginning to worry that my map making skills were insufficient. We can retire to my tent if you wish and there we can discuss the plans as I understand it. "
Raetus looks to the skies.
"I was hoping to hear Duke Antonio's response but apparently he chooses to remain mute ((Raetus scowls slightly). Well I suppose he will have to live with his own shame if he sits and does nothing while we destroy this horde upon his own land for him. Perhaps we should discuss our respective skill sets and then we can figure out what can be done. Do you have any experience leading groups of men, I only ask but it is somewhat akin to wrangling cats? Especially this lot as I must admit they were garnered mostly by the coin of my coffers although Galahads men are clearly better coordinated probably due to training which my rabble somewhat lack. Alternatively if you have any background in trapping this is I do admit something I have only a passing familiarity with although we do have a couple of men who have some idea themselves, but if either of you have used such devices before please say so. Lastly if either are respectable trackers which I suspect you might be, then this skill set will most certainly come into play. There is of course the matter of our respective unique skills but perhaps they would be better discussed once we enter the tent."
Continuing for a few steps Raetus looks back at Fia.
"I am sorry Fia you mentioned something of attempting to infiltrating the wolf pack. This idea as best as I can tell has one main flaw, does your four legged form (Raetus' tone lowers as he suggests the somewhat esoteric subject) have silver fur? I have the ability to alter other forms but I am unsure as to the interaction of my abilities and yours as both effect are transformations which may disagree with one another although I am sure we may try such if you wish? Certainly I can see certain value in resembling the enemy in the middle of combat as they will be unable to focus upon the odd one out in the fray. Likewise Gunnar this may be of value to you as well."

"Hail Gunnar. Glad you could join us, this hunt should be quite entertaining."
Turning to Raetus, "Alas my wolf form is basic gray. But if they are aggressive towards non silver wolves I could potentially lure them in. And I'm not too fond of the thought of having my form manipulated, thanks. "

"As you wish although I believe earlier rumors did suggest that this pack had been destroying other wolf packs. Therefore I am reasonably sure that any odd coloured wolves will not be tolerated. As you say though you might still serve as a lure for outlying wolves."
Raetus reaches the tent and pulls back the flaps. Inside you find little except a field table and chairs, a small basket and a water bowl nearby (presumably for Sith). Upon the table are three small burlap sacks and a large stone mortar and pestle. Inside the pestle are a few grains of black dust. Lastly and most disturbingly is a cage with the corpse of small dog sitting in a pool of blood. Raetus doesn't acknowledge the corpse as he enters the tent.
"My apologies I haven't much in the way of accommodations but there are at least chairs please sit."

Um do you often travel with a canine corpse in a kennel?
As to using myself as a lure, if a pit trap was constructed I might be able to lead a number of wolves into it or any number of traps really.

"Oh yes, Raetus chuckles somewhat my apologies but I have only a passing familiarity with strychnine and without first testing its efficacy one cannot be sure of what is a reasonable amount of application. Normally I would summon something to dispose of the animal but that I would say would simply magnify the issue as it were. The pikes on the wagons outside are indeed for bear traps along with other contraptions and as you say it would be hoped we lead this pack a merry chase. My true concern however is the nature of the man figure which lead this horde. Do either of you know anything of him or his nature?"

"No. To lead such a large pack he must be more than merely human. I can attempt to find answers but the lights do not always show me what I wish. " Fia says worth a shrug.
"If I play bait and he shows up and proves too much for me I will take to the air if need. So far I have not heard that he possesses the ability to fly. "

"Umm,.. I've heard you have some sort of oracular ability. How does it function perhaps focus requires a catalyst?"

Yes my clan is particularly fond of visions. I don't know of any particular catalyst, they just sit around staring at the night lights until a vision shows up. So yes I can try to summon up a vision but alas it may or may not show and may not even be useful. But it is always worth a try.
I do have other useful skills as well more in the line of investigation. Actually if we could get our hands on something this man has handled I might be able to help there.

Raetus looks at the gangrel girl seemingly appraising her.
"Yes well I suppose that might be possible."
The duke turns and leaves the tent outside the padlock clinks on the wagon followed by a side door creaking open. There is a sound of movement like something large shifting weight. Then another few smaller creaks can be heard.
"Ah there it is"
The door creaks again and the padlock re-latches. A minute later Raetus returns with a bone in hand. I looks gnawed and the marrow has clearly be partially extracted. He passes the bone fragment to Fia.
"This may serve."

Fia watches Raetus curiously, what does he keep in that wagon? Upon his return Fia takes the bone and examines it.
"Hmm I might be able to do something with this. Any questions in particular you want me to ask it?"

I didn't see this before to include it in the hunt description.
Inquisitor Samuel has been accosted traveling in the northern reaches of Klagenfurt. His war horse Providence torn out from under him by a pack of silver furred wolves. Ten of the Inquisitor's bodyguard also fell God have mercy on their souls. Rumour and hearsay abound that the wolf pack is guided by a ragged old man who is lost in a rage. The Inquisitor has put out word to the surrounding area to gather hunting parties and to gather their best trappers.
Anyways, the Inquisitor isn't actually dead just his horse and some men. He was in the vicinity of the destroyed border guard tower. Since he is gathering men you moved on a little and then hunted out the town where it all begins.
