As the winter solstice comes to a close word begins filtering through the Lands. Travellers carry word from first one tavern to the next on the trade routes.
Spring comes and word is that the local Convent of Black Magdalene in Triest is organizing a Pentecost celebration and mass. Food, drink and festivities for all, peasants included. Some of the wealthier merchants have begun parties and staging events for the more elite while the local priests of most affiliations are hosting more common events and activities for the peasants.
By May 24th in 1198, performers, merchants, farmers and tradesman from the surrounding areas have begun filtering in. A large tent city seems to have formed around the inland walls.
