I was thinking. If you can convince him to get a little Lore: Necromantic rituals, and his occult to say 5.
We could offer him the possibility of honing the Cerberus ritual and improving it. Making it a lvl 4 ritual called say "Rise, Chimera" and a level 5 called "Hail, Hydra". Basically the same just beefed up with a little of the mythical powers of these creatures added.
Since you are running him all over the place anyways, if you plant this idea in his head he can use any additional downtime actions to seek information to do this.
Narses could eventually gift him with a lvl 3 ghoul to stick around Triest to pay his service...
