Look for a way to prevent transformations. So I know that Nicodemus can change forms. So i want to use my Occult to see if there are ways to prevent kindred/infernals from shape changing. It is easier to catch a man than a swarm of bees or smoke. This can be a ritual, other magics, potions and what not. OOC i know there is a ritual but i am not sure how much of that knowledge i would have in game. Covering my bases.

Requirements
- Rite of Introduction (Lvl 1 Ritual)
- "This is Apprentice Ricchar Hann. I seek a means of preventing a Cainite from transforming into a swarm of flies and escaping us."
- As there is no local Regent the ritual connects you to Vienna.
- Learn of a ritual that forces/counters Cainites transmutation powers. It is called a Stone of True Form
- Offer to have it taught to you if you are capable and show some progress on the Chantry in the next year and you are capable.
- Your search your occult knowledge and Library (I am assuming this is one of the Haven options you chose). You do not find any direct spells or normal things that can prevent someone from transforming.
- However, you do learn of two mystical objects once held but lost to the Order of Hermes. One is a lantern that is enchanted, when lit with a special candle the combined magics are said to bind all souls to the radius of the light.
- The ritual to create the Candle and components is said to have once been created by the Order of Hermes and may still be present in the libraries. The Candle casts a circle of protection vs evil.
- The Lantern when lit with even a normal candle is said to keep ones spirit from leaving the body and promote the knitting of flesh (healing).
- The last known existing candle and the lantern are said to have been lost in a great battle against evil. From what you can piece together it refers to the fall of Carthage.
- You do come across another note of a Friar that may have fled the city. And in Croatia occasional appearances of a holy man healing peasants of injuries that should have sent their soul to their gods.

Penalty options for failing quest test
- Gaining 1 Beast Trait
- Down 2 pts of blood
- Gaining a Derangement for the game (or 2 derangement traits if you have one – ST discretion)
- Gaining 1 Derangement Trait (if you have a derangement)
- Losing 15 minutes of game time
(Due to entering a fugue/vision state - ST's will tell you when it happens) - Taking 3 points of lethal damage
- Down 1 Willpower
- Taking 1 points of Aggravated Damage
- Influence reduced by 1 until you perform a trivial favor for your influence
- Only acquire enough components for 2 rituals not 3 (only if this is your quest)
- Minus 2 penalty to one attribute for 1 game
