Outriders - Legate Arrives in Trieste - 1198

On a stormy night a small contingent of horse riders approach the construction around the new gate. From a quick count it is twelve riders in light mail adorned with the papal crest. Riding hard into the gate they shore up as a band of city guard present themselves and bow or salute. The lead rider dismounts and converses with the guardsmen as a runner sprints off toward the keep. A short time later a huge man dressed in light mail approaches from the keep with a company of men.

The two leaders converse and the huge man turns to address the company, "MAKE PREPARATIONS THE LEGATE ARRIVES IN THE MORNING! COMPANY A MAN THE ROADS AND GATE! COMPANY B SECURE THE STREETS AND PREPARE THE SQUARE! COMPANY C PREPARE THE KEEP AND INFORM THE SERVANTS TO HAVE MY CHAMBERS READY FOR OUR MOST EXCELLENT GUEST! COMPANY D AND THE CALVARY PREPARE TO CLEAR THE SITE AROUND TGE CHURCH!"

With that the town guards scatter every which direction. The papal riders dismount their horses stabled and are lead to the keep.
