Bonus test:
outright win -You learn that the power of the cross can enhance certain rituals when performed in the proximity. Also, there is reference naming other similar artifacts that have been shown to have similar benefits themselves. You discover a reference to mortal Mages and begin to suspect that the Brotherhood itself may have had at least one mortal Mage as a "Pious" member. Channeling the power of the Cross to perform miracles in Jesus's name.

- In addition to needing him to open the Bible, Healh's knowledge about theology Pagan and Church make it easier to make sense of what you are reading.
- The Bible itself on the surface seems more or less ok and proper religion.
- However as you delve deeper into the two books you begin to suspect that this Brotherhood of the true cross is actually quite heretical. They seem to believe that the true lord overseeing our earthly bodies and our ability to go to heaven is Jesus, the sun not his father. In fact though it does not change much of the doctrine, they view the words and stories of Jesus as speaking for himself.
- Most of this information is hidden in a cross cypher. The Bible itself offers a cypher that allows you to decode much of what remains of the journal and in turn discover a second cypher that lets you decode some more of the bible.
- There is little to nothing concerning Infernalism in either book. Just the heresy of this brotherhood of the True Cross. They gathered artifacts that were part of or belonged to Jesus himself and worshiped him. The Brotherhood seems to have spread farther than just locally but always keeping hidden from direct view of the Church proper. The Bible seems to be a means of sending coded messages to others. In your library you notice that in one book, a translated reproduction that parts of it may actually hold portions of coded information. Unfortunately, due to what you now assume to be portions of the book translated from other languages that the message itself is not longer able to be decoded. The book was a reference of the origins of Christianity as a pagan cult and not the organized religion that it is now.
- The ritual is one of unlocking. By gathering the needed materials it will unlock the mystically protected portion.
- The book has no reference and is not related to the actions regarding the theft of Holy Artifacts
