As the Scaffolds are taken away from the N.E. entrance of Trieste there is once again a Guard tower. Crossing from the tower to the reinforced wall on the other side of the entrance is a very large ornate iron gate.
Trieste once again is a sealed and walled city. With the exception of the Convent/Monestary of Black Magdeline outside but within sight of the gates, the slums that ring much of the outside of the wall and several small/midsize estates scattered throughout the surrounding lands.
