Downtime 2 (Mother Isis, Father Balaam & Gunner)
Travel and join up with Father Balaam and Mother Isis as they enter Laibach. Join the cause in trying to hunt down information and clues about the Infernalists. Continue to track down the leads that I have gathered from previous years. Coupled with my discussion with Didaskalos, I am focusing more on Infernal Cults than Petras himself. Rumours of Hungry Beasts that stalk the night, and other acts of nocturnal terrorism. Information Balaam shares:- Rumor has it that the Church once fought him in England. That a Bishop had faced a great plague upon his flock all his prayers could do nothing, at least until Beziekiel answered and promised salvation. After imprisoning and interrogating this Bishop they learned that this Bezekiel come in and offers his servants something they can never refuse, binding them to his will in the process. Some come willingly some are set up so that accepting his help is their only option. But once he decides to pursue someone he usually wins.
- Somewhere to the west a coven of Witches are said to have been active but since destroyed.
- There is rumor that at least one of his Acolytes fled Carthage carrying a book containing Beziekiels secrets and those of his kind.
- The follower is said to have fled into Croatia.
Result on Travel Win:- Successfully travel Gunner meets up with Father Balaam and Mother Isis as they enter Laibach or to the location where they went "of path"
- Isis, Gunner and Balaam receive word of a sacrifice found dumped in a well just outside the city and go to investigate
- No leads only horrifying visions of the body being tortured by some unknown person and the organs being cut out while the victim is alive

WHere you discovered the body of the woman and two messengers and begin uncovering snow and thoroughly searching around.

- Balaam hears the buzzing surrounding him. Thousands of flies which is unusual for this time of year (late winter early spring). It is absolutely incessant off and on.
- Isis gets hit with a vision. "She sees Galahad come dashing into the clearing as if driven. Then the vision changes to be from his eyes. She witnesses the baby being cut from it's mothers womb. Flash, with a quick slash of the knife she feels the fluids from the severed umbilical run down her hands. Flash she sees her transparent hands trying to sooth the baby as the wagon rumbles off. For how long she does not know but she is lost in trying to touch and soothing the screaming baby in the back of the wagon. Flash, she is looking at the wagon, the baby is taken from the back and carried into a door. She hears the buzzing of thousands of flies. She almost recognizes the place (insert description of meatery here)"
- You discover through the investigations and visions shared by the two Malkavians that the Meatery is the location of Laibach troubles. You do not have the time at this point to go and personally snoop and investigate. Also, remembering what happened to you before you feel it best to report in and let the Duke decide what should be done in the next year. But at least now you have a target.
- Since there is still a little time left before your Duke returns from his trip you do your duty and ensure that the two outsiders from Trieste leave Laibach's borders

Bonus test:outright win Balaam - Your spidey sense goes off. You are about to quickly dive into the bush but just as you are about to several men step into the road ahead of you. The men appear to be professionals in bearing even though they are wearing mismatched clothes like bandits. You hear a bird call from behind you and you look back to see men behind you also. outright win Isis - You are hit by a series of flashes and visions. As you travel into Laiback you gain visions of Biblical Plagues. Slaves dying by the dozen, disease run rampant. Empty castle. No one at home. Then you flash to a pig gorging itself to overflowing where it bursts asunder only to discover it is actually on a silver platter with a apple in it's mouth being served. A wild Boar bursts from the apple chasing those at the feast causing strife and chaos. Then both pig and wild Boar are sitting at a table for two with all the food of the banquet before them. They eat and eat and eat before they once again burst. Their blood rains down over a odd chess board, no a map of the lands, the blood spatters each land near by then begins to pools and caver greater and greater areas. A hand reaches down and waves the blood away. Once again it is a chess board. you wake. outright win Gunner - After completing the investigation you transform into bird shape and start circling the forest watching the two Malkavians until they reach the border of Laibach. Getting ready to head back to meet up with your Liege and prepare for the journey to Klagenfurt you turn towards his haven. The hackles on the back of your neck stand up. Flying high over the forest you just sense something is wrong. Perhaps it is just having spent several months with two Malkavians but perhaps not. Perhaps they are simply trying to slip back into Laibach without your knowledge to investigate the meatery and take all the credit. Either way you decide to do one last loop back and ensure they are still on the road below. They are just outside the borders. You do notice one last thing from your distance high above and slightly to the west. You notice what appear to be banked fires in the bushes in a ravine just off but out of sight of the road. Your Hackles and beast is rising within you. You turn towards them to investigate just as several figures step out of the bush in front of and behind the two Malkavians. The whistle of a night thrush is heard. Plan in case of ambush is: -Balaam activates Awe as she flees -Isis activates Obfuscate to escape while using Telepathy to overhear what's happening to me -Balaam tries to talk his way out, but if not Isis reports what happens, and carries my boons to use in avenging me
Balaam's conviction of Faith makes him fear death less than he should. I'm also Prideful enough to feel any situation can be handled.

In a secret place Mother Isis hovers over her newly acquired gift of Sokrates Blood. Dipping her finger into the blood and tasting it she can feel the energy of Caine almost vibrating through her.
She is entranced by the possibilities of new experiences, new possibilities new knowledge that can be gained.
While out feeding she wanders through the slums and comes across a old woman, suffering from near blindness, starvation and riding the line of death. Pretending pity she takes the old woman up in her arms and carries her away to her secret little place.
Laying the woman down Isis whispers in her ear. You have experienced much mother, you have sinned much and felt the pleasure of sin upon your lips. I shall give you one last experience and gift. I shall give you the taste and visions of the other side. I shall let you feel power to over come, ecstasy, immortality.
With that Mother Isis focuses her attention upon the pottery jar containing Sokrates Blood. Taken over in her madness chanting in an unknown language, preying to unknown Gods. Is it real or is it just mindless babbling coming from her lips she wonders.
She looks down on the crones body, sinks her fangs into her jugular and drinks her dry. Tilting the old woman's head back she pours the pint of blood into her mouth.
The old woman almost jumps from the ground while she seizes. With great glee Isis looks on at her creation. At this experience of making another undead. The Crone's eyes slam open fixing on Isis. Grabbing the wrist that was carelessly left next to her head she begins feeding on Isis.
Mother Isis is first in shock as her blood is being drained at an exceptional rate. But then comes back to herself and uses her powers to calm the old woman and get her to stop feeding.
She coddles and cooes the old woman while listening to the new experience of power and wonder as described by the old woman's transition.
After Mother Isis feels she has learned what the old woman has to share of her experience, Isis leans close, pressing her lips over the old woman's. Grabbing her head as though in a lovers caress she uses the power of her blood to snap the woman's neck before once again sinking in her fangs.
What ecstasy and wonder as the blood drains away. The universe opens as Mother Isis feels the old woman's soul, her newly empowered Vampiric essence entering her. What wonder.
Isis gains +1 Discipline I gave her Necromancy: Mortis x 1, +1 Occult, +3 xp Side effects of Diablerie. Dark Secret Diablerie & Haunted No Generation gain as they were of a worse generation than you

Necromancy: Mortis Path 1 (Masque of Death) 1 blood, standard action Transform your physical form into a true corpse Cannot be target by powers that only affect a true corpse Aware of everything that occurs within 5 steps (10') Cannot be staked but can have head severed (normal fashion/3 standard actions) Can revert to your normal form at will/simple action, erasing anything that has been done to your corpse (eject stakes and foreign matter, make damage disappear...) Focus [Appearance]: 1/turn you can spend 1 blood to take one simple action (including to move). If you enter Torpor due to damage or are staked Masque of Death activates (without blood cost)
