The following letter should arrive beforehand (you might remember I said we would head out four days hence). The letter in actual fact is written by Morrigan (hence certain additions) anyway....
My Lord Ard Rhi,
It is with heavy heart that I write this letter. My Baron Alfonso has confessed to me that he was the one who ended Father Balam. He had done this without my knowledge and even against my express order, making him forsworn. He did not mention, nor implicate any others, however I am uncertain he did it entirely alone.
I offer myself to your worthy judgement. I will not tell him of my confession to you, nor anyone else, save my sister. I shall be travelling to your court shortly with him under the ruse of addressing wrongs done against him.
Should anything happen to me, I beg of you, suspect Alfonso. Protect my sister as would protect me, for she is the only one I can trust in this moment. She will know it all.
