Isis and Fia - 1200

[Mother Isis]

Mother Isis enters the lounge her skinny frame would quietly enter, her black skirt trailing behind her. Taking a seat in the darkest corner of the room she sat silently waiting as her fingers would being to tap the armrest of the chair she sat in again.

Fia enters the lounge and takes a seat near Mother Isis.

Thank you for meeting with me. I wished to discuss a few items with you if you have a few minutes.

[Mother Isis]

Mother Isis would listen intently "items you say? .....whatever do you speak of...?" She would continue to tap her finger nails on the arm of the chair.

Yes, a couple things. Earlier you had asked for my vote for you as doge. I had wanted to discuss joining the free city. I believe you could use my help but I want to make sure I'm hitching my cart to the right horse.

Related to that is my second item, I'm not sure if you are aware but Gunnar and I witnessed the attack on you and Father Balaam on the road that day. We attempted to save him but were not strong enough. Can you tell me why they chose to attack you?

Mother Isis would pause for a moment thinking back to the road incident. A heavy sigh left her lips as her eyes shift from Fia and to the items of the room. Her black eyes even still seemed to just stare at you no matter where she looked. "All I know is father had some issues with some people, he never gave me much detail and the people I speak about are of Trento. .."she would continue to silent stare off for a moment before speaking up again " I believe it was Trento who sent those people after father after witnessing how much they did not care for him...and telling me this personally at last gather on how he would not be a bother to them anymore.......I honestly have no idea why they wanted to kill him and if I were to have stayed they would have killed me being that I was a witness....now the only way is to get proof it was them...I only know one used the black magics of the lasombra and right before we were attacked one of the men commanded father which I believe was dominate...Trento has a lasombra and a man that did not like father as well...so pieces slowly come together even if it's alittle bit at a time..." she would turn her gaze back to Fia. "I wish to add people to the free city and to also make friendships that I can trust...I ask that of a blood boon to join the city this is to build trust ..with everything going down hill and people trying kill each other silently I do not know who to trust...this is why I ask for payment... if you are here to join the city and not cause a problem this deal should be just fine as well as you will have the protection you need here...as well as issues you have you can come talk to me about and we can see what I can do..." her wispy voice would trail off. "You seem like a honest young woman. I do hope if you reside here it will be fitting for you.....this deal is not just for you it is for all new member of Triest who join it....you never know who you can trust anymore..."

[Fia]

Fia seems hesitant at the mention of a blood boon payment, but she slowly nods "Yes it would seem one cannot be too trusting these days. I will pay the blood boon and join Trieste."

"On the bandit matter, you should know that I have plans with Gunnar to track the bandits down. If the Trento connection is not known to Gunnar and the rest of the hunting party, are you okay if I share this info?"

[Mother Isis]

Mother Isis would smile softly " gunner knows of this information, i do want my friends killer found it upsets me greatly...he was a good person to me he as the only one to welcome me into triest and i hope i follow in his footstep in what he wanted....". ( Just pm ST's confirming blood boon payment). Mother Isis would lean back in her chair " i assume you are a fighter then Fia I may perhaps have a position you might be interested in? I want to make you well known as a warrior in Triest perhaps assisting Jaak with keep Triest safe might be a thing you may be interested in?". She would suddenly stop clicking her nails against the chair " I wish to eventually have a small group of trusted warriors led by Jaak in the future...perhaps even finding more gangrel who wish to be able to fight for a noble cause....unless you know of more that might be interested in joining the free city..?".

[Fia]

Excellent. I assume I will meet up with gunnar later to begin the hunt.

Yes working with Jaak to protect Trieste could prove to be quite entertaining. Unfortunately the only other gangrel I know in the area is gunnar and I assume you would know better than I if he could be persuaded to join us.

[Mother Isis]

Mother Isis would shake her head " Gunnar has his Libach to worry about, i have my own ideas for the army but it must not be shared outside of Triest what so ever....this would be for our protection as a City..". She would pause and think quietly to herself, her nail tapping would being again. "I do want to trust you fully Fia i hope you do not disappoint , you seem reliable enough ". " If you need a place to stay let me know as well I am sure we can find a suitable place for you in Triest to call home after all we want to make you comfortable as possibly"\.." her wispy voice trailing off as she spoke " we will hopefully be having a meeting once i am appointed as doge....i was the people of Triest's input on things as people live there and its their home after all...I may even appoint people in certain things to help the city that way everything is covered all at once....".

Well I like to think I'm trustworthy, but I guess I will have to prove myself. As to a residence, I do prefer to reside outside of highly populated areas, so I think I should be fine on my own. Thank-you though.

Mother Isis would look at the woman with a slight frown " Fia with me today you have proven your worth more then i can say.... willing to give me a blood boon but I can't just do that to you.....this was a test and the test proved true...if this was anyone else they would have taken your offer of the blood boon and ran but i am not such a person like that....it seems you do not understand fully of what other cainites would do to you if they had that boon and i wish to teach you a lesson in not just giving that kind of thing up freely....a person would basically own you for a year if they had that and would use you in way you might not even like but have to.....please be careful and take this lesson to heart as other will try to screw you into deals like this ....its everyone against everyone else and you must start thinking like that or you wont survive long.... this lesson will not be free though I will take a single major boon from you if that is ok with you for this....I hope i have proven that i wish to work with you for a long time Fia and that i don't want to see your down fall over something as simple as this......always think hard before making deals...people as specially vampires if not at most only think of themselves.....". Mother Isis would open her hand " let me see your hand my dear".

Fia laughs, "Nothing comes without cost and what is the cost of a year for ones such as us? I have been owned for more than a year, while not pleasant I survived then and would survive such again if necessary."

"Yes this concept of every vamp for themselves is taking some getting used to, but hopefully I will get that figured before it costs me more than I am willing to pay. Thank-you for your concern. That being said, why do you want to see my hand?"

[Mother Isis]

Mother Isis looks at her hand then back up to Fia's face " the payment of taste for this meeting is was I seek". She would shake her head " the problem with you accepting that is when one of your enemies have a hold on you with even a blood boon you must do what they say". She would sit silently "I know the ways of being owned ...." she move the shoulder of her shirt revealing large lashing scars the seemed to go up the back of her neck as well. "It's not funny as specially when you have no choice...".

"Oh the hand licking thing?", Fia shrugs and offers her hand.

"You are correct slavery is no laughing matter. While I do not have such visible reminders of my time in captivity, I assure you I am well acquainted with the concept of my life not being my own. As is often the case it would appear you are stronger and far more resilient than you look.

As to payment and show off loyalty for entrance to Trieste may I suggest a slightly more complex bargain? You grant me leave to join Trieste and I shall give you my support and vote for doge. As a show off loyalty I offer you a minor boon and my services to track and if possible punish those responsible for the attack on the road that day.

A simple boon just seems so boring and honestly does not show loyalty or trust to its full extent, don't you think?"

Mother Isis would tap her lip gently listening to Fia " well I don't think I need any help in that ...seems we have leads and I will be speaking to Jaak soon...see what I am honestly worried about are the tremere taking over the city.....it is suppose to be a free city but in the city it's self we have points of interest the Tremere are interested in....may I remind you this is something on the private side for now..." she would whisper this softly. "I wish to speak of all of triest anyways a meeting will take place I am hoping next gather".
