Fia: watching and reading the night sky while you travel towards a now fallen border fort the skies are strangely absent of Northern Lights. Normally through your blood you can see something of the lights even when most others can not.
You are however plagued by dreams. Hundreds, thousands of slaves being hauled into a great pit. Being left there. Food and water are available but the slaves must perform horrible deeds to eat and drink. Forced to fight and destroy each other, becoming cannibals. Great behemoths of shadowy men come in and drive the feral, anger filled mortals to the surface. They are driven out of caves into the light of the sun. You are one of the slaves, like the others the sun burns your eyes, retreat back into darkness. You hear orders but can not make sense of the words.
The great shadowy men come forth, filled with rage they beat bloody any who oppose them.
You and several others are attacking. Killing those who dare to defy and stand free. Ripping, mauling, torturing as with only your hands and teeth you destroy. A fury fills you that you can not control. You begin to like what you do and want to please your master. But in your sleep you are confused, not sure dreaming of before you were in the pit and were free.

There is no space inside the walls but the town graciously allows you to set up camp just outside the walls in exchange for some of your provisions and goats.
After much deliberations and hearing the howling but being unable to track the pack down you decide to set a trap, using both your poisons, bear traps and all.
Using some of the goats that were brought for just this reason you stake them out to lure the pack in.
Sure enough a few days latter Gunner and Fia discover one pup sniffing around the edges. Before they can really do much 8-10 wolves flood in and not just tear the 3 staked goats apart but terrorize them causing them to bleat and scream first.
They next move on towards the town. Circling your camps and going up/over and through the barricade.
A great fight ensues, Fia, Raetus, Gunner and a snake like thing that answers to Raetus, counter attack and manage to decimate this pack with only 1 limping away and escaping during the fight. The Mercenaries and militia at first held out of the fight due to the barricade. Galahad's retainer stands calmly back giving directions. The Mercenaries under his command quickly organize and in short order a section of barricade is cleared and in clean order they enter the town and join the fight. The mercenaries recognizing the qick tactical though and organization of the nerdy secretary join up with Galahad's militia and all eventually manage to get in and join the fight with only some heal-able injuries as a result.
The town however suffered great injuries and losses before the wolves were put down. Most of the men are either dead or have wounds that will cause their death.
Recognizing that the town is basically doomed, Marco utters orders to his troops and to the Mercenaries under Raetus's command. During this time of trouble he is calm, direct and barely stutters. It isn't until the pressure is gone that his stutter returns as he again returns to casual conversation.
Marco directs all the mortal mercenaries and militia to set a perimeter and search the edge of the forest for tracks and signs of more. To Gather more wood and add to the fires outside the barricade. Leaving the Vampires to see about healing or putting the townsfolk out of their misery.

As you search through the town you go up into the barn loft. The sight up their is horrific even for you depraved monsters. You discover a scene of slaughter. You discover two children about 8-10 years old dead having stuck each other with pitchforks. It looks like they fought and battled it out after rending and maiming the other children and women. only three grown women are still alive and they seem mad like animals trying to crawl across the floor at you. Howling like banshee's possessed.
After dealing with the survivors you discover the body of a light grey wolf the size of a small pony. Obviously bigger than the rest impaled on some of the barricades upright sharpened branches. the last of it's life has spilled down to the ground.
The militia return to report that the bear traps and poison was either not seen or somehow the wolves sensed the danger. The goats have been ripped to shreds and their guts and body parts left to lay in a macabre scene where they were staked out. Other than the comander and one or two others the rest of the men refuse to approach the scene.

A few days latter after torching the village (assuming you replenished your blood on the injured survivors) you track the surviving wolf to where it appears to have joined up with another pack in another area. You find a similar situation and again bait a trap and attack.
This will happen another 4-5 times. I will let you guys write your own exploits and stories for these battles. the only time you take any non-standard damage is when you fight the larger grey wolves. They deal aggravated. As you fight, track or find a new area you begin to realize there is a greater evil at work here. When does a wolf of one pack go join another? Stories of 100+ wolves attacking the outpost become more of a probable reality than an exaggeration.

Travelling between towns after you have been hunting wolves for close to four months you set up camp. Each of the two Militia's have been reduced to level 3 through attrition and wolf attacks. During the last two encounters the wolves have been more clever, more strategic in their attacks. Testing and feinting.
One night the sky lights up in a glorious display of the Aurora Borealis. While Gunner, Raetus and Marcus observe the beauty of nature, Fia see's and reads something far darker in the sky. From far off in the the South East what appears to be blizzard like waves seem to be attacking the northern lights.
Gunner, Raetus, Marco do not notice this. What they see is that the lights are having a few sporadic bursts to the east but fading in that direction. Until suddenly the entire Northerner lights just give one large flash of color and dissipate in their entirety.
What Fia sees is the "Blizard strike into the heart of the lights, almost pulse and flex before the Aurora Borealis just explode like a firework and disapear.
As you start setting up an hour or so before dawn you discover that every bird in the woods has gone quiet. There are no frogs, crickets nothing. Marco picks up a pot and just starts wailing on it. His Militia immediately drop everything they are doing and grab spears and weapons as they rush to form a defensive circle. Handlers cut all the dogs free and Marco himself cuts the tethers and kicks the temporary fences down enclosing all the livestock.
As he does so you notice that the entire camp is surrounded by at least 60 regular wolves and a group of 6 pony size wolves are grouped together lookiung up the hill at you.
A great howl issues from the woods as a wolf near the size of a horse steps out to join the other 6.

And break. We can run a nice little combat for those of you who want to before game around 5:30 on game day (if you can't make it that is OK, there will be no character deaths through this scene.
Also, the outcome of this scene will determine what if any wolves you manage to capture.
