We were thinking that perhaps with infernal hunts and the Crusaders coming back that maybe you guys might want to put this as a semi celebration of their deeds? Similar to a Gangrel Bonfire where individuals get to step forward and tell their stories of their exploits?
Also, need a good description of what it is being held for soon/a invite.

Yes, there were grand plans for bonfires and summer solstice celebration with the returned adventurers, but likely not a great idea with the inquisitor running around.

Why does it have to be factual? If it holds the crowds attention and entertains, does that not make it a worthy tale regardless of whether it is factual or fictional?

Well if it is an obvious lie then the tale has not been told with skill and likely was not very entertaining, so not worthy of commendation.

We are holding a competition for the best talespinner. Become a talesman of renown. Entry 1 Minor (or trivial?) Per entry.
Winner will receive 1 Major owed by the city or be rewarded with Status. To be Judged by ..... (either a neutral party, by vote, or perhaps st's might make a NPC Toreador or Gangrel?)

Ooc) I like the entry fee, however that may actually prevent these cheapskates from entering, lol.
However, I like the idea. I'd even say that, those who enter pay an entrant fee of 1 Minor boon, and each of us who will be splitting the entry fees, will grant Gallant to our personal favorites.
Multiple prizes to go around, more encouraging to have people enter.

You don't have to expend status until the end of the night; plus, you only have to spend the Pledged status, not your Doge status.
