Over the past nine years ghouls and a few young childer have gone missing well traveling the road between Trieste and Laibach. The road is considered generally safe to travel yet after the most recent attempted abduction eyes a cast toward the road again. A ghoul escaped certain death after being hunted for days before seeking safety at the Wildmoon Meadery and Inn.

For the last year mortal patrols seems to have stepped up. At least patrols are going out.
When patrols once again come through it is usually through a back trail and not the main road. None respond about what they learned. Though a few whispers overheard suggest that they are not so sure themselves.
There are no travelers coming to the Shield of Safety from Laibach and those that leave in that direction are either continuing on or not returning.
