With my spanky new 3-point Ley Line Lore, I'd like to build on that knowledge to attempt tracking Infernal Centres of Power, like Tyr found in Zara.
I'm assuming that I might need more skill for this. Would I be able to research a Thaumaturgy Ritual to create a Ritual which provides me the ability to sense/identify Ley Lines and Nodes? I'm not sure if BNS sources have this, I know Kindred of the East has a couple rituals that allow detection of this.
Now, if we're currently able to detect these nodes already (as Riccar somehow identified them), then I'd like to research a ritual which allows sensing information about a Line/Node, etc.
If I can research more than one ritual in a DT, I'd also like to discover a way to redirect energy (diverting a Line, draining a Node, etc).

I would like to get, with Trajan's permission, to ward the tunnels beneath Mother Isis' Domain from intrusion.
Only myself and Trajan will be allowed to pass through the Warded areas.
If Morbus manages to get Riccar past my sentries, he will attempt to get him below the city. While technically they would need to get Trajan's permission for the Chantry to be built in the catacombs, I wouldn't put it past them to try and go ahead and do it 'secretly'.
Warding off the area should be able to prevent their entry, foiling this attempt. As well, the Node should make it stronger, if I use regular materials.
I will negotiate Boon payments with Trajan, and as mentioned give him full access to the warded area also.
I have Occult 4 (or can spend xp to make it 5), Ritual Lore 2, Ley Line Lore 3, Thaumaturgy (Weather Control) 4, Mental 12.

Though, it did strike at all three Nodes. I'm willing to bet (though can not easily confirm) the earthquake in Laibach was also along a Node/Ley-Line.
So, I need to find out what caused this. Trieste and Laibach are the two areas where Infernalists have been active in the past - was this a test of theirs? Preparation for something coming in the future? A side-effect of what they have been doing?
Some of my Resources are being used up in repairing the damage to my domain. The remaining, I can use as needed. I have Thau Ritual Lore 3, Ley Line Lore 3, Occult 4, Thau:Weather 4, Mental 12 (Perception & Intelligence focus), Obfuscate 2. I also have the option to expend Defendor Status to make a regular success an exceptional one, and am willing to do so if it applies here.
I was wanting to discover who/what was behind the Storm Assault and Earthquake at our neighbors. I am keeping an open mind, seeking proof prior to assuming, and allowing the possibility that this could be from our Infernalist Infestors.
If it was the Tremere ... why hadn't they done this sooner? If this was at Riccar's request, Laibach no doubt paid a lot to get this committed (or else the Tremere would have done this sooner).
As the Inquisitor did, I am also assuming the Earthquake is linked (perhaps punishment for lack of progress? Or side effect from violating three nodes?)
His tests: Scissors, Paper, Rock, Paper, Rock (loss, loss, tie, tie, loss) Our tests: R, S, R, P, P
Results: Your results vary from night to night as you research the cause of the storms that struck the nodes (and some other areas in general). One night you are certain you have stumbled on a way to utilize the node power to multiply the power of your Thaumaturgy and rituals. When you wake the next night to continue with this train of though you do not remember the key piece of the puzzle that would have allowed this. You are sure that given circumstances and a way to channel more power through yourself that you might be able to cause something similar. That weather works off certain patterns and if you could decipher them you could use them. Another night you are convinced that the hand of the nailed god reached down and punished you all for your pagan ways. Another night you are certain that a great demon took form and the tornadoes were his feet touching down and the earth quakes echoes of his foots steps. Bet those fucking Nosferatu had something to do with this. Definitely the Tremere they are preparing to come in to the rescue and gain glory after their heinous destruction of your places of power.

Merchant Retainer Downtime
My merchant will be focused on his downtime to repair the stables, as well as assisting the repairs to the guard tower. Utilizing my Influence (Commerce) to make things easier for him to get the materials for the repairs.
His tests: Rock, Paper, Paper, Rock, Rock (win, bonus - win) Out tests: S, R, P, R, S
Result: Your merchant has little trouble arranging for repairs to the stables. A little work on the foundations and arranging for some newly hewn timbre for the walls.
Bonus: While attempting to help the city with the tower after the loss of your poor guard captain he manages to make contact with a new up and comer in Triests defense structure. Someone who in a year or two will be able to be maneuvered into position of a Watch captain to replace the old one.
Your merchant also learns of the disgruntlement of the guards stationed out here, now in tents. The merchant council seems to be divided every-time it comes to allocating funds and approval for the rebuilding of the tower. There are talks of how they could become great through other ways, maybe a war college, or Library. Maybe both. Or perhaps they should build a ship yard and build great ships to extend their reach to new markets.
What ever the case the current guards are here guarding a fallen pile of rocks and sleeping in tents as though they were on campaign. Good thing spring is here.
