(ooc: yes, I saw that, thanks)
Prestation and boons are my domain and he will not try that tactic again. I see that particular affair as high emotions in the heat of the moment but if it happens again I will deal with it according to the clear law of our kind. As to the other matter, I will certainly voice these concerns to the Ard Rhi, but ultimately it is his decision to make. (Check with STs, but once there is a Prince, it's listed in his statuses that two Regals can remove the Reeve. I'm assuming the same applies if brought before the Ard Rhi in the absence of a Prince, but that's where you have to check with them.) Two Three expenditures of Regal would force the Ard Rhi to select another Reeve. (It's three Regals for myself, by the way, so as long as say, Galahad and Gunnar can't convince one of either Raetus or Antonio to play along I'm not going anywhere unless they kill me. Oh, or if any of you give them Gallant, that would work as well. So maybe don't do that.) Ordinarily this would be impossible to achieve alone, but consider that if one of the Pledged grants Duke Raetus Gallant, he could then on his own expend two Regals and unseat Gunnar, at least temporarily, assuming the Ard Rhi doesn't select him again. That would be the time to present the case for favouritism to ensure that doesn't happen again. He might end up selecting him again after all, but perhaps with greater restrictions and/or oversight on his conduct, it depends. This is a sound strategy as it does not matter who the Prince is, friendly to Gunnar or not the expenditure of status will force that individual's hand. Some tricky timing may be required but this is entirely doable. Of course, I neither support or oppose such a plan, I merely lay out what is fact known to all.
I made a correction here. It is 3 Regals to question the Ard Rhi. Only 2 to question a Prince.

Baroness Morrigan, you are your brother's strong right hand of vengeance and his sinister left hand of mysteries. I would argue that you deserve to be kept apprised of any situation that might potentially endanger him or place him at risk by speaking out in the manner I have suggested. This is why I would have chosen to invite you, although I myself did not call this meeting. Nevertheless, these are precarious times, and it's never a bad idea to make sure any potential allies are on the same page, which I presume is what the good Doge had in mind.

"Pardon my intrusion, Doge Isis, but I was under the impression we were to be discussing plans to ensure that Duke Raetus was elevated to the position of Prince? Considering he is the only member of our neighbours who has proven himself qualified, and is respectful of Honour and Traditions?
If you had changed your agenda, or I misunderstood, then I apologize."

"That was also something to be brought up but my concern with how the Reeve was unfairly handling things in my eyes I wanted to bring up first. Since the good Herald can speak to the Ard rhi about this as well since the matters the Reeve does is suppose to be neutral and reatus as well as myself have seen what the Reeve has done in "choosing sides" in public. I am concerned mostly about it however if choosing a new reeve is best I would agree to this. Also I believe Jaak and I want to know how exactly to get reatus prince, I did give reatus status at triest for his incredible story but what other status could be given or actions be taken to ensure he gets it?". Isis would run her hands quietly over her crystal ball waiting for answers from all.

"My thoughts at last gathering were to install the Herald as the Duke Klagenfurt. Since Duke Antonio's reign has been shadowed with less than inspiring result. I had hoped that Liabach would do most of the leg work for me only turning the tables upon them when I put forward the candidacy of the Herald rather than Raqa an obvious ruse to obtain a vote block in Gaul for Liabach. However they have failed to make this maneuver yet and I suspect that this may have something to do with what happened in the barn that they are so anxious to cover-up with this infernalism nonsense. At the moment I do possess a means of upsetting there plans but that s leverage which is best left as a deciding factor. The Deamos suggested that Tyr should be spoken to concerning obtaining princedom however it would appear that Liabach have beaten me to the punch and now he is missing and accused of this crime? I would say attempting to remove the Reeve will likely be fruitless as the Ard Rhi would come to the same assumption that I do myself. Gunnar may be inclined to support Liabach but regardless has shown consistent motivation to root out this infernalism issue. You must show the Ard Rhi a viable second choice before this maneuver would be of any value. He does however derive his authority from the Ard Rhi and the Ard Rhi may understand the concerns of his playing politician and intervene at least at this level, after all Presumably politics are more the Heralds auspice than the Reeve's. I would suggest that if you can find Tyr and exonerate him at the very least you may be able to throw doubt upon Liabach's motivations and sway the Adr Rhi to choose another option."

"It is not my place to discuss in this environment the candidacy of the Reeve. If he will serve Duke Raetus in the role that he requires, that is all that matters.
I also am not in a position to discuss my observations with respects to the competitors that Duke Raetus has for the Prince position."
*grinds teeth*
"What I am in a position to do, however, is express that my observations these past four years in Gaul, is that Duke Raetus is by far singularly qualified to be Prince of Gaul. He has been beyond reproach in matters of Tradition, Law, and Prestation. He alone has conducted himself properly in the presence of the Ard Rhi - something I'm certain he has himself noticed.
For anyone else to become Prince would foremost be a disaster for Kagn's children in Gaul. We five in this room, I would daresay find it more difficult than others, if personal stakes are a greater priority for you.
It would seem the best way to ensure Gaul prospers, would be to ensure that Duke Raetus is shown for his merits, and those in competition have their shortcomings exposed.."

The question of Klagenfurt will have to be shelved for a time, I believe, as Duke Antonio has recently restored our lands to a reasonable level for once. I could no longer stand forth as a viable candidate anyway as I do not believe that I would be able to remain Herald and, hopefully, eventually Chamberlain if that were to happen. I can assure you all that I am far more useful in almost every way in that position than I would ever be as Duke. The machinery of state is best wielded by a sympathetic hand, and the powers of this office are far too potent, albeit in subtler ways than the Reeve's, to give up lightly.

*nods in agreement*
"Which is also why, if I may be bold enough to say, that you continue to press forward successfully through the recent questioning of your rulings.
I had suggested Major Boons simply to allow for negotiations. Either for you to say that was too much, state minor boons, and gain the trust of Gaul. Or, to allow Duke Gallahad to state that was too steep a price, and have you graciously accept a counter-offer.
It is disappointing that the choice was made to question your authority, and to have the Tradition of Domain itself questioned. I am certain the Ard Rhi will be impressed with how you see this through."
*grinds teeth*
"Similarly, I presume that it would merely be a Trivial Boon for the three of you - Duke, Doge, and Baroness - to confirm the facts with regards to the matter of the owed boon? Since all three of you were there when he had told the Baroness and I he would remit payment. Of course, I presume the Reeve will also support these facts as he had previously informed me.
Said Boon, of course Duke Raetus, shall be made available to you. Which should be helpful in securing your rightful position as Prince."

Morrigan seems to be blushing again as the Herald speaks about her, then as the others speak she starts looking confused. "My opinion counts for nothing in the eyes of the Ard Rhi or the other Dukes. My brother has my support and aid in all things, which he knows well. However I know nothing of any boons? What do you speak of Jaak? Does the Duke Gallahad still deny your involvement in procuring his lamp?"

"Yes, Baroness. He denies knowing about my involvement 'until recently ', despite speaking directly with both of us in front of the Heads of Gaul. He also denies owing me anything for my help.
The Herald, at last Gather, said that I would need supporting witnesses so that he could hold Duke Gallahad accountable. Since you were with me, and Duke Raetus and Doge Isis were present when we delivered the lamp, having your admissions to the Herald would secure this Boon. As well as resolve this issue, where Duke Gallahad refused to follow Prestation Protocols.
At least, that is my understanding from last Gather. Has there been any changes, Herald?"

No, Jaak, that is still valid. Actually, this was more for your sake at this point, as had you not been able to produce any corroborating witnesses or evidence on your behalf, then his station would unfortunately carry greater weight and I probably would have had to apply some sanction to yourself for wasting the time of my office. But if these ones are willing to speak on your behalf, we shall address this next gather. Indeed, it seems this is only one of many things to be addressed with the Duke of Laibach.

"It seems reasonable to request compensation for this service which I will confirm did occur. I am unsure as to Duke Galahad's inability to recall this fact but I can assume that perhaps your proximity was simple construed as curiosity in the transaction. Regardless the service was offered and the Duke in my opinion owes compensation to Jaak. It is reasonable that the Duke may question those who might demand such a compensation but once confirmed honor demands you show proper prestation. I would say that perhaps you give Duke Galahad a chance to make right this matter informing him that my word now backs your claim. As for the matter of the Trivial boon although I value your service I value your respect more; please keep the boon as a sign of my valuing our common ground."

"But of course, Duke Raetus.
Herald Sokrates, I will rely on your guidance for addressing this matter to Duke Gallahad. He did not seem wanting to discuss it in my domain, it may be unfair to presume but I would think it likely he will not accept my conversation where I do not hold enough status to discuss it with him."
