As you return from the Shield of Safety you take notice of something that usually you wouldn't (being that you no longer eat food). You notice that some crops are doing great ready for harvest. But the problem is the crops that are not there. It seems maybe only 1/2 the crops were actually planted this year. The other fields have gone to weed.
In the city it is unusually hot for this time of year and most people seem to be staying indoors where they can.
There seems to be fewer newborns roaming the fields, but those that have broken through the fences are good and fat.
The good news is that there have been quite a few men at arms that have returned from the Crusades in order to settle in the Land of the famed warriors who defended them against Satan's minions in Nara.
