Johan
You stick one of the gems into your arm and as soon as is breaks the skin it is drawn in. In what is but a moment in reality seems to be several minutes to you. Your "soul" is ripped through a hellish land with demon faces and arms reaching out to you, screaming and hungering for your flesh and mind. As your mind starts to unravel your "soul" rejoins your body and you are back in the real world. The creatures you encountered have fractured your mind for the time being and you enter frenzy.
You storm and smash about looking for something to destroy and devour, all you manage to encounter is a poor deer that has broken a leg while attempting to flee your sudden appearance. Diving in you rip it apart and glory in the destruction and blood. You rampage through the area for some time smashing trees, hurling rocks and just destroying in a unbridled rage before you bring your best back under control.
When you look around you have no idea where you are (we told you but OOC, your character will have to discover this on their own somehow).
This is where your story begins, What do you do?

#1 First, I'm going to improve my forge with a muscle-powered power hammer. Movable rig that will fit over the anvil, large and flat striking surface suspended over it on channels to make sure it moves in the proper directions. Greased with animal fat, and using heavy leather bindings to spring it back after every strike. Platforms on either side for those striking the power hammer to stand on. Raqa has donated the use of the house zombies when they aren't otherwise occupied, they should be ridiculously easy to train for this purpose. This should dramatically increase forging speed, with multiple zombies and more potence than myself using a striking surface larger and heavier than the smith hammer I normally use.
Doubt it will come up, but what's the ruling on potence and two handed weapons?
Result: I will let this happen. It isn't really going to add any bonuses as it is only a blunt force. But we can say it will help work towards leveling you Haven/forge (1 of 3 banked) Raising level is 1 downtime per lvl.
#2-3 Working in Forge. I am going to replace the sword I sold in order to make my way back. It is a good excuse to have an item with actual stats, as those were never really decided upon. Think I'm going to go for brutal and deadly, since it's two handed anyways. If I manage to win a third, maybe accurate.
Craft: Weaponsmith x 3 Craft: Armorer x 2 Craft Blacksmith x 1
Retainer x 3 specialized in smelting and mineral alchemy Forge x 2
Result: Craft Sword, 2 traits (Brutal, Deadly)
Bonus: If both bonus tests are won then he has outdone himself and crafted a Masterwork Item. 3 traits. (Accurate?)
1st (Johan):SRRPP (Loss, Loss, Win, Bonus Loss) Us: R, P, S, S, P 2nd (retainer) :PSSPR (Loss, Tie, Loss, Win, bonus loss) Us: S, S, R, R, P

And the retainer. Probably donated for the duchy action, makes the most sense, especially with me gone for a nebulous time at the start of the year.
You pull him back to the forge in an attempt to improve your forging and try to get a masterwork sword. Raqa has been spending time cleaning things up around the duchy so there isn't much he could do at current.
