Due to the disappearance of labor both at the castle and at the quarry construction has come to a near stand still. Raetus will need to expend more money and effort to complete the work. He will need to spend an extra downtime (this on plus one more) to complete his castle.

Alright Raetus decides dig in and fortify. He sends Jack (with another face) as an envoy to Klagenfort and Trieste to hire disenchanted crusaders to reinforce the castle guard and labour for the construction. Meanwhile the Wolf of Gubbio, John the mudman, and Raetus guard the castle foundation until the troops and labourers hopefully show up.
Raetus will direct the construction of rudimentary fortifications in the guise of pits, guard watch rotation, wolf packs called in nightly to guard the perimeter etc...
Skills: Security 1, Survival 2, Leadership 2
Disciplines: Animalism 2 & Auspex 1
John the Mudman: The more offensive of the two mud men will act as the day watch along with Gubbio.
Resources 6
John Mudman: Rock, Scissors, paper, rock, paper Jack Mudman: Gubbio: Raetus:

Sent to Raetus I will get more details latter. But for now.
Your new wolf pet seems rather smug as he checks out the area around the Castle. You give him directions to try to figure out what did this and what took your laborers. You pick up some for of gruel humor in him but he eventually lets you know that he is pretty sure it is an eye for an eye. You attacked and slaughtered one of the packs and so they took what was important to you. You stole him from his previous master and so they took one of yours.
You think them just animals but yet you sit here right now conversing with a wolf. A Big wolf but still a wolf. One that obviously was bred with intelligence. Think you not that we can adapt, plan and strategize when needed. You might have tracked and destroyed some. Then I gathered some of my smaller packs into a bigger one and set a trap for you. Somehow you escaped and captured me. Yes you may have destroyed most of my former pack(s) and hurt former masters forces but you did not destroy them. Others like me will change their tactics. They wont be caught the same way again. They will not just stay in one area and keep attacking until someone comes and hunts them. They will keep moving. We can move much more distance than you or your sweet beasts you ride.
I am sure this is the work of one like me. You are in the mountains. See how I do not leave tracks? Easy to remain on rocks until far away or moss in the forest leaving no impression. Or only cross the soft ground before the sky opens up.
(He is basically telling you that wolves are responsible for the disappearances)
Lucky for you I can keep you safe. Those not Alpha will not attack me.

Raetus downtime 1:paper, rock, rock, paper, rock Raetus Downtime 2:scissor x 2, paper x3 John: Rock, Scissors, paper, rock, paper Jack: scissor x2, rock x 3 Gubbio: paper, rock, paper, scissor, rock
Typically if your domain is hosting I believe you get an extra downtime. If this is true the consider the following Raetus' action.
Travel to road approaching the crossroads of inquisitor Samuels last known location. Looking for signs of tracks leading off the road. Question the locals as to whether they saw his passing or know of anything that may have happened that might be strange or account for his disappearance. Question animals as to whether they saw his passing or know of anything that may have happened that might be associated. Search the local markets and blacksmiths for equipment sold to them from the men that accompanied Samuel. If anything shows up then attempt to track down the person who sold them the equipment. Attempt to summon horses along the road, if any turn out to be part of Samuel's escort then question the animals.
Checks: Rock, scissor, Rock, scissors, paper
As you travel to the crossroads you begin hearing stories of Inquisitor Samuel in Laibach. Word coming out is that he has been cleansing the Domain of the Walking dead and demons. You also hear word of another local hero rising up and gaining some notoriety. Someone other than Inquisitor Samuel is also hunting the walking dead and by calling on God also laying the walking dead to final rest.
You begin snooping around the crossroads looking for where he may have gone to when he had previously disappeared when you see colored lights, flashing and moving in among the woods. Almost as if the Northern Lights themselves have manifested. Telling your men to wait slip around a tree and head towards the light. As you approach you notice Fia looking in through the door to a cottage. She does not seem to notice you, in fact you get right up next to her without reaction. You reach out and touch her on the shoulder. As you do the Northern Lights emanating from the shack encircle you a massive pulse of dark energy flashing out almost like a nuclear explosion.
And you sense days and nights going by. You can even see the light of day come and spread around you but failing to actually touch you. Somehow being caught in time is protecting you from the fires of the sun. What ever happened has frozen you four outside of time. The sun though obvious comes above and around but never quite touches you. The sun rises and falls over what you presume to be several months. You can see the days come and go while you remain frozen even though you are visually aware that it passes by.
