Word has begun filtering out of Tridentine that people have been disappearing. It started with individual stone workers around the quarry and then small groups including soldiers. In recent months the construction of the large caste has come to a standstill as the entire workforce just vanished in one night.
Some say they have seen large ghosts flitting through the shadows and fog at night, others that it is because of a burial ground within the mountain caves and the ghosts are rising like the dead in Laibach.
Needless to say that skilled workers are hard to come by and many have found their way to Trieste where at least they aren't disappearing or dying. And where they are getting paid.
