The in flood of former Crusaders has not only stopped but reversed. Those who came bearing great wealth are now turning around and leaving, most being destitute and seeking employment as guards elsewhere. Many incidences of theft and wrangling has been occurring as the flood of people leave.
With the end of the lush wealth that had come to Klagenfurt is the departure of many of the Craftsman, and artists that once resided in the University living off the generous donations of partons.
Yet all is not lost, one or two mysterious patrons still remain, consolidating and holding dearly to what is left. The university and market have been all but abandoned with the destitute taking up residence in the stone buildings that were once the local of thriving businesses. One section has been kept in good order and functioning. What remains of the Libraries have been moved to a smaller pair of buildings with some merchants staying steadfast.
The general populace has gone through winter having had to eat much of their seed grain and yearlings. But as spring approaches a hitherto unknown store of grain was found and given out sparingly to some locals. Helping a few to be able to plant crops which will hopefully be lush and help bring back some of the greatness that once was Klagenfurt.
Strangely in some rare instances breeding pairs of wild goats, game hens and even a few other livestock has turned up tied to farmers doors come dawn.
Other than these few areas under the guidance of the unknown the outskirts of Klagenfurt has in the last month (prior to gather) been feeling the attacks wolf packs both unusual in the numbers and size of some of the wolves.
