With the support of Fia, Trajan, and Ricchar my apointment to the position of Doge has been finalized. It is unfortunate that Mother Isis has chosen to abdicate her responsibilities and flee the City, we do expect her to serve Prince Raetus in Trento and continue to work with us to the glory of the Ard Rhi in the future.
I shall continue to do everything within my power to represent and mediate any issues/concerns that are brought before me by the Pledged members of Trieste. There has already been a matter of Domain that I have levied punishment and am completing arbitration for. Know that I take my responsibility seriously, and once an issue is settled it is no longer considered an issue. I serve the Ard Rhi first, the Pledged members of Triest second, and the Court of Gaul. I would expect everyone to have similar alleigances.
Expect an official proclamation from Duke Raetus, that we are all contributing to the war effort in dealing with the Traitors that exist in the centre of Gaul. All members of Gaul shall contribute 1 ghoul and half a mortal's essence in vitae towards the creation of a siege beast. We shall also assist in engaging with the enemy.
Do not forget our deadline to deal with Nicomedes Petras, as directed by the Ard Rhi. That should be our main focus in all matters.
Fia, I expect that you shall continue assisting the Reeve in tracking relics and any signs of Infernal presence within Gaul.
Trajan, we would appreciate any rumours or appearances of omens that you have to assist in tracking the location of Petras, and/or his Infernal Accomplices. Any information regarding the actions of Samuel would also be greatly appreciated.
Ricchar, I understand that you have a very full agenda between Boons owed and levied fines. Should we not find Petras, the Ard Rhi shall undo everything any of us has accomplished, so it is expected that you manage to utilize your contacts and underlings to gain what information you can if you find your attention is diverted elsewhere.
I myself shall continue to study the scraps of lore I have amassed, and seek through divinations and omens to make sense of the events.
Between the many of us, I have no doubt we will find Petras. If fortunate, the 'wishful thinking' theories that were tossed around at the Reeve's Lodge may prove true - that these treacherous beasts may also be involved with the Infernalists and we can deal with both concerns at the same time. Life rarely provides us with such fortunate circumstances, for it rains on both the witch as well as the farmer. So let's be diligent.
