My first downtime action will be to travel to Venice and back to aske my questions. Do you want me to send all my questions at once, or one by one? Will you need tests?
With the daring move to return to Venice to see Narses, despite your lieges obvious dislike of him.
Having previously publicly declared Narses a personal enemy, someone to be destroyed on sight by any of his vassals and having bloodhunted him throughout Gaul, Narses is still willing to fulfill his agreed price to you.
On arrival there is great fanfare and you are escorted through the streets to his palace. Though forced to wait for several weeks as he is currently tied up with other business you are again wined and dined and shown the best that Venice has to offer. Tailors are brought in to prepare finery for you. Finally a evening of a great gather comes and you are escorted to it where Narses will be able to meet with you.
You are given a place of honour only two seats down from him at the head table. Latter in the evening he waves everyone off, out of obvious earshot so you may speak. He hears your request to meet with the information sources.
"Unfortunately my lady they are not currently in Venice. Our agreement as written in the boon conditions, by your request I might add, was that you return in two years time. I agreed that I would ensure that these individuals were here at THAT time so that you might speak with them and learn what they know.
I shall of course endeavor to contact them and see if it is convenient for them to come earlier, this year instead of next. But, as I have already called in boons upon them to present themselves next year it is up to them if they wish to come early as there was no provision agreed for earlier arrival and I shall not waste prestation because you became impatient."
with that he stands up slaps you on the back and boisterously laughs so the entire gather can't help but notice him.
He calls out to one of the Kindred.
"Marshall Maximus, See to our dear friend here. Dance with her, she seems lonely. And meet me tomorrow eve so we can discuss the matters she has brought before me."
With that he turns and leaves the gather through a back door.
