Gunnar is known to have originally hailed from the north, A Viking.
For many years Gunner is said to have been part of a great Gangrel pack, led by a man known only as Aesir.
Sometimes called "The Northron" or sometimes simply referred to as "Viking" his loyalty went to new tribe. Their ties went beyond Court, beyond Politics it was a a connection that can only be made among the minds of the free.
Running the wilds, giving nature its due. somewhere in his history he was drawn away from his family and the nomadic/solo but joined existence they shared.
Something happened scattering his family to the winds, lost to each other he became truly alone. He can feel deep in his soul that they are still out there just lost in time to him, for now.
Whether it was loss, a misplaced feeling of mutual need or whether his naivety was taken advantage of he found himself in service to a new "family", leashed some would call him. Used as a tool and as a beast of service, slowly degrading his contemplative ways until a new monstrous nature was drawn forth, something more usable to his masters.
A slippery slope is morality, sometimes more animal than man these days. But every trained animal is occasionally let off it's leash. Even if it is to simply to instill terror and fear among the kine.
But in those rare moments when there is no master standing over him, when he is free, even if only for a time he can sometimes be seen sitting on a ledge, with a vacant face. Perhaps he is finding peace within himself somewhere. Perhaps it is his Pack and original family reaching out to their lost brother, consoling his wild spirit, telling of times yet to come.
From wild Northerner to a monster, his life and un-life have been a railroad of questing, hunting, and living. Many years have passed from Birth to loss to now.
Lets see if he can find what he longs for.
