A meeting of the minds - Laibach and Fia - 1200

Lyrah seems to be the first one that makes it into this grand room, and she looks about, taking a seat while waiting for the others. She sits at the head of the table, for a few moments at least, her fingers form a steeple shape  as she does her best impression of Duke Galahad.

"We are gathered here today, to discuss the many challenges in Laibach... SILENCE! I'm SPEAKING! Please, give me your opinions. SHUSH! DO NOT INTERRUPT WHEN YOUR DUKE IS SPEAKING!"

Lyrah giggles just then and sits quietly, waiting for the others.

Lyrah taps her fingers upon the big ol table, growing bored very quickly. There are such better things she could be doing with her time, aside from sitting in an empty room. While the walls may speak to her, the lack of company drains her interest in matters that should be attended to by all members of her dukedom, and so she huffs, giving them a little while more.

[Johan the Smith]

The door opens, Lyra hope for entertainment likely dashed by the gargoyle that stepped hough, ostensibly the least amusing of her companions. "Good evening, Lady Belirae." He said simply, finding a spot beside the door to stand for now.

Her nose crinkles as he enters and she shakes her head. It was not who she was hoping for, and so she looks around him for a few moments, bouncing on her feet. "Erm.. I don't mean to sound rude but uh.. I don't suppose you brought Ricchar with you by any chance? I am wondering where the others are. There is business to discuss after all, and the voices in my head keep yelling at me to hurry up and return home. They miss me apparently."

[Johan the Smith]

The gargoyle shook his head. "I apologize, but Apprentice Hahn and myself took different routes here. I suspect the others will be along shortly, however."

A moment passed, Johan closing his eyes briefly, frowning. "This is quite an establishment. What do you know of the proprietor?"

Lyrah shrugged a bit, before resuming a pace about the room. "Hmm.. What do I know, what do I know." Her eyes blinked a few times before she answered. "Well, I met the man once. It was when the gathering was at Trieste. He was very... erm.. talkative. I believe they call him Chronicler or something of the sort. Other then that, I can't say much. I just know that this place is perfect for meeting with others not from our own dukedom. Mhm."

As for the grand establishment, Lyrah had her own thoughts on that matter. "It's alright I guess. A bit smaller then what I am used to in Laibach, but one can't have everything can they." She lets out a long drawn out sight before humming and twirling in a few circles. "What do you know of the Church? Or rather, the pope."

[Raqa]

Raqa strides into the room. In a bored sounding tone, "Good evening Lyra. You look lovely tonight. Hello Johan. I'm sure Ricchar will be along shortly. He is a busy kindred as of late but he knows the import of this meeting."

"D'aww Raqa, how kind of you to say exactly what I ask you to. You know just how much my own words mean to me coming from you.~" With a bit of a grin. Lyrah strides over to Raqa and tilts her head. "Have you seen the other one that was supposed to be here with us? My blood sister? I would have gathered that she would be here by now... what with how important things are.."

[Raqa]

"She is of a high generation; they are easily distracted. I'm sure she will be along in due time."

[...]

"I can't help notice you smell of my puppy. OH! IS HE HERE WITH YOU?! I haven't seen him in ... a few hours.. or so.. and he tends to run off and do silly things and go mad with hunger. I worry about him so. What with Fredrick on the crusades, I have had to take on a new project! So my attentions have been turned to making sure that he is not.. well.. met with final death between our gathers, as it seems that he brushes with that quite a bit."

[Johan the Smith]

"Of Pope Innocent, I know little. Given how active and powerful he seems to be, I would wager on him having Kindred backing, but I would not hazard a guess as to-" Johan begins, falling silent when the door opens, admitting their baron. He gives a respectful bow in response to the greeting. "Of course, Baron. Good evening." He said simply, letting the earlier conversation with Lyra drop for the time being, resuming his watch at the door.

[Ricchar Hahn]

Richaar enters the room with a slow stride. "Evening all". Taking a few seconds to scan the room with auspex. He then makes his way to a seat. "The last gather did not go as planned but we did get what we came for." "Johan I would like to formally thank you for your outstanding display of loyalty the other night. If there is anything you wish, please tell me and I will get it done."

"Speaking of what we came for, what is it exactly we are planning to do with he who is in service to us? There is a concern I have about people actually showing to our Dukedom for next gather. YOu see, what with the sickness and everything, are people even going to wish to show? Can one Selubri brat really take care of such a problem within the year?"

[Ricchar Hahn]

"What does it matter, the strong will survive and the weak will be culled. The salubrious brat will never see trento again. This is a clear message to those cowards, that speak of honor but have none. One question is if this kindred knows anything about the attack on father balam."

"o0o0o I am sure we can very easily find out! What with our abilities his mind should be easy to probe. Small though it may be, but then, who turns in the reward?"
